I am all kinds of excited today! I just went to have a look at my very first classroom! This is going to be an amazing year... I can't wait! I have a lot of ideas brewing up my brain about how I want to decorate the space but to be honest, I like soo... many different things that its hard to choose. For example, I've been debating whether or not I should do the bulletin boards with aqua paper or black. THAT kind of not knowing, believe it or not, keeps me up all night! I'm a planner and a control freak! Aren't we all?! Ha! And this "not knowing" drives me bonkers... so I'm enlisting the help of all of you amazing teachers. Aqua or black background for the bulletin boards? I'm taking a vote! Here are the pictures of my classroom to help you decide
P.S. I'm LOVIN' the butter-yellow wall color!!! It makes the room so bright and happy!

I love aqua and black...last year, for the first time ever, I used a black background on my largest, full-wall bulletin board. I use it as my math and writing focus wall. All the bright primary colors of everything stood out so nicely on the black background. So there's my vote--black. ☺ Good luck with your set-up!

First Grade is Fantabulous!
Go with black -- it will work with the wall color better. Also? SO SO excited for you! Your room is H-U-G-E!

I like aqua...it will be fun to have butter-yellow walls with aqua bulletin boards. :)
I like aqua too-more calming. It looks like a nice room, lots of space.

I have black, it makes things *pop*! But then again, my cupboards are orange (yuck!). Wouldn't really go with aqua as well as your yellow would!
